Ripple Markets UK Ltd. has been entered into the UK’s FCA register, meeting anti-money-laundering requirements but without receiving full authorization to provide financial services.

Ripple Secures FCA Registration in the United Kingdom

Ripple has received approval from the UK regulator to carry out selected cryptocurrency-related activities in the country. The company, which develops a blockchain-based cross-border payments network, has been added to the register maintained by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The registration was granted to Ripple Markets UK Ltd., the company’s UK subsidiary. This entry confirms that the firm complies with regulations on anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing. As a result, Ripple is now able to legally conduct certain cryptoasset activities within the UK.

However, the regulator’s decision does not amount to full authorization to provide financial services. The approval is limited in scope and relates only to compliance with financial crime regulations; it does not include the comprehensive license required of fully authorized financial institutions.

For Ripple, this represents an important step in expanding its presence in markets with clear regulatory frameworks. The move also aligns with the UK’s broader strategy to integrate digital assets into existing legal structures and strengthen its position as a hub for the cryptocurrency sector.
