Ripple Prime Nominated for Hedge Awards 2026
Ripple Prime earns several nominations after more than tripling its revenue since acquiring Hidden Road.
Ripple Prime has been nominated for Prime Broker of the Year in several categories at the Hedge Week US Awards 2026. The company is competing for recognition in client service, technology, specialist markets, and its work with start-up and emerging managers.
In the Specialist Markets category, Ripple Prime is up against Interactive Brokers and Mirae Asset Securities (USA). It has also received nominations in the Start-up & Emerging Managers and Technology categories, alongside firms including Jones Trading and AGP Prime.
CEO Mike Higgins announced the nominations on July 21, 2026. He thanked the company’s clients and partners and confirmed that voting for the winners was now open.
Ripple Prime was previously known as Hidden Road before being acquired by Ripple in April 2025. It is one of the world’s largest non-bank prime brokers, clearing more than $3 trillion in transactions annually for over 300 institutional clients.
Since the acquisition, the company’s revenue has more than tripled. Higgins attributed this growth to increased activity from both new and existing clients, the ability to move collateral around the clock using the Ripple USD stablecoin (RLUSD), a horizontally integrated clearing infrastructure, and cross-margining across asset classes. According to Higgins, the latter can reduce margin requirements from $12.5 million to approximately $1 million.
In the second quarter of 2026, Ripple Prime integrated with EDX Markets, Coinbase Derivatives, Hyperliquid, and Bullish. It also secured a $200 million credit facility from Neuberger Berman.
The company is now attracting not only cryptocurrency businesses but also hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds, and endowments. This expansion has been supported by greater regulatory clarity following the GENIUS Act and the anticipated passage of the CLARITY Act.
Ripple Prime’s near-term plans include supporting new forms of collateral, such as tokenized money market funds, and expanding its Delta One equities business. Its long-term goal is to help standardize the industry.
