Nigel Farage Invests in a Bitcoin Treasury
UK firm Stack BTC raises $347k from investors, including Nigel Farage, to build a corporate bitcoin reserve.
British company Stack BTC Plc has raised $347,204 from investors, including Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, and the firm Blockchain.com. The capital was secured through the issuance of 5,200,000 new ordinary shares priced at 5 pence each.
The funds will be used to support the growth of British businesses, build a bitcoin reserve, and finance the company’s ongoing operations. Stack BTC Plc plans to operate as a so-called BTC treasury company, meaning a business that accumulates bitcoin as part of its financial strategy.
Nigel Farage emphasized that his investment stems from his long-standing support for British enterprises and his belief in bitcoin’s potential as both a financial asset and a digital currency. He also highlighted the importance of small and medium-sized businesses to the UK economy, noting that they account for around 60 percent of private sector jobs. In his view, supporting such companies can contribute to long-term capital growth.
Blockchain.com has also joined the project. In addition to investing in the company, it will provide institutional services to support the custody of Stack BTC’s bitcoin holdings. The company was registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority on February 10, 2026, allowing it to legally operate in the country’s cryptocurrency market.
The chairman of Stack BTC Plc is former UK Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng. According to him, the involvement of Farage and Blockchain.com aligns well with the company’s strategy, which aims to expand the role of bitcoin in finance.
The company’s new shares are expected to begin trading on the Aquis Growth Market on March 12, 2026. After the share issuance, there will be 68,130,000 shares in circulation, each carrying one voting right. Nigel Farage currently holds 4,300,000 shares, representing a 6.31 percent stake, while Kwasi Kwarteng controls 3,700,000 shares, equivalent to 5.43 percent.
At the beginning of March, the company also announced plans to establish a bitcoin reserve, starting with the purchase of 21 BTC. In the future, it intends to expand the reserve through share issuances, acquisitions, and profits generated from its operations.
