Is Cardano Leaving X?
Charles Hoskinson plans to move part of the Cardano community from X to a new Discord server.
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is looking to shift part of the project's community activity from X to Discord. Together with Phillip Pon, CEO of EMURGO—one of the organizations behind Cardano—he is working on launching a new server designed to provide a calmer and more focused environment for discussions.
According to Hoskinson, the new Discord server will allow community members to engage in conversations in a more organized and well-moderated setting. He emphasized that users will be able to move away from the conflicts, accusations, and endless disputes that have increasingly dominated discussions on X.
Despite the planned migration, Hoskinson does not intend to leave Elon Musk’s platform entirely. He will continue hosting live streams on X, but participation in AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions will be limited to members of the new Cardano Discord server and the existing Midnight community server.
The announcement comes at a challenging time for the Cardano ecosystem. The project is facing growing questions about its long-term outlook, while ADA remains under market pressure. The sell-off intensified after Hoskinson announced a break from his activities and warned that some projects being developed within the Cardano ecosystem may not survive.
