XRP Ledger Begins Countdown to fixCleanup3_2_0 Upgrade

XRP Ledger has entered the final phase of deploying the fixCleanup3_2_0 amendment. The network has officially started the mandatory two-week countdown after the proposal received support from 85.71% of validators. A total of 30 validators voted in favor, while five opposed the change.

If validator support remains above the required 80% threshold, the amendment will be activated on July 29, 2026, at 09:57 UTC.

Under XRP Ledger governance rules, every amendment must maintain at least 80% validator approval for two consecutive weeks before it can be enabled. Should support fall below that level during the voting period, the countdown resets and the process begins again.

The fixCleanup3_2_0 upgrade combines several technical improvements into a single release. Among the most significant changes are fixes for precision and rounding issues affecting Single Asset Vaults and the Lending Protocol, along with updates to Permissioned Domains and the Permissioned DEX introduced with XRPL v3.2.0.

The upgrade also adds support for custom Multi Purpose Token values, introduces validation for a zero DomainID in Permissioned Domains, improves the offer removal mechanism in the Permissioned DEX, and implements an additional safeguard designed to prevent orphaned objects from remaining on the ledger after an account is deleted.

The amendment vote comes as the XRP Ledger ecosystem continues to expand. Earlier, the network surpassed one million AI-powered payments processed through the x402 protocol, highlighting growing adoption of AI-driven payment infrastructure.

Meanwhile, Ripple-backed company t54.ai has launched the XRPL AI Hub, a platform that brings together artificial intelligence projects, autonomous agents, developer tools, payment services, and technical documentation. According to t54.ai, the platform was built with support from developers at Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation to make it easier for developers to build AI applications on XRP Ledger.
