XRP at the Core of Ripple’s Strategy
XRP Becomes a Key Pillar in the Evolution of Institutional Digital Finance
XRP is emerging as a cornerstone in the development of institutional digital finance. Ripple continues to strengthen its global position by focusing on cross-border payments, custody services, and liquidity-enhancing solutions. All of these initiatives share a common foundation — the XRP token, which, as the company’s leadership emphasizes, lies at the heart of Ripple’s overall strategy.
On October 24, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the company had completed five major acquisitions over the past two years. The most recent of these was the acquisition of Hidden Road, now operating under the name Ripple Prime. Previous acquisitions included GTreasury, Rail, Standard Custody, and Metaco. Garlinghouse noted that these investments are designed to accelerate Ripple’s vision of an “Internet of Value,” with XRP serving as the central asset that connects the ecosystem.
Ripple Prime, formerly Hidden Road, aims to give institutions streamlined access to digital assets by offering multi-asset brokerage services.
Ripple President Monica Long highlighted the vast potential of the opportunities ahead. She pointed out that Ripple Prime leverages both the XRP token and Ripple USD (RLUSD) — the company’s stablecoin, which already serves as collateral in brokerage products. Long also confirmed that Ripple plans to expand XRP’s role within its service offerings and described the company’s growth outlook as “very promising.”
Institutional interest in XRP continues to grow. The token has become one of the main holdings in the Grayscale Coindesk Crypto 5 ETF, while the REX-Osprey XRPR fund, which invests directly in XRP, has surpassed $100 million in assets under management. On the CME exchange, trading volume for XRP futures has reached $26.9 billion, equivalent to about 9 billion tokens.
Additionally, Evernorth, a Ripple-backed company, plans to go public on Nasdaq in early 2026 — a move expected to further strengthen XRP adoption and reaffirm market confidence in Ripple’s long-term strategy.
Ripple is making it clear that XRP remains the centerpiece of everything the company builds — from payments and asset custody to innovative liquidity solutions that power the modern digital economy.
