Thousands of New XRP Wallets Created in a Single Day
XRP network activity hits its highest level since March as thousands of new wallets appear.
Activity around XRP is gaining strong momentum. According to data from Santiment, more than 4,300 new XRP wallets were created within just 24 hours. It marks the fourth-largest daily increase in wallet addresses recorded in 2026 so far.
The sudden spike may point to growing interest in the XRP network and an influx of new users. Some of the newly created addresses could also belong to existing XRP holders expanding their activity.
Santiment noted that rising wallet activity is often seen as a potential signal of a trend reversal in price movements. Over the past week, the XRP Ledger network reached its highest level of activity since March. Both the number of active addresses and newly created wallets increased significantly, which analysts believe could support XRP’s medium- and long-term price growth.
The rise in activity also coincided with major purchases by large investors. Market analysts reported that so-called “whales” accumulated more than 71 million XRP tokens within a single week.
Another important milestone was recorded in May. Wallets holding at least 10 million XRP increased their combined holdings to 45.83 billion XRP. This is the highest level since May 2018 and represents roughly 68% of the cryptocurrency’s total supply. At the time of publication, XRP was trading at $1.36.
The XRP Ledger ecosystem is also continuing to expand. Ripple became a sponsor of SwissHacks 2026, an event taking place from June 19 to 21 in Zurich during Swiss Fintech Week. Participants will work on projects focused on cross-border payments, on-chain lending, and AI-powered financial agents.
Meanwhile, the latest XRPL software update, version 3.1.3, has entered a two-week activation period. The rollout of the changes is scheduled for May 27. Node operators have been advised to update their systems to avoid potential network disruptions.
