Ripple Predicts a Stablecoin Boom

Ripple unveiled a bold vision at the XRP Tokyo 2026 conference, offering a clear glimpse into where the market is heading. The company estimates that by 2026, the total value of stablecoin transactions will surpass $33 trillion.

The key message is straightforward: stablecoins are no longer a niche curiosity. For financial institutions, they are quickly becoming standard infrastructure. The question is no longer if they should be adopted, but how fast companies can implement them without falling behind. Ripple aims to position itself as a bridge between traditional finance and the digital asset world. With more than 75 licenses globally, the company is working to make stablecoin adoption safer and more accessible for businesses. The scale of this forecast is striking—exceeding the combined economies of the United States and China.

Japan plays a central role in this strategy. The country has long been open to cryptocurrencies and provides a clear regulatory framework for their use.

Ripple has been collaborating with SBI Holdings since 2016. Together, they established SBI Ripple Asia to support blockchain development across the region. This partnership gives Ripple direct access to banks and financial institutions, while Japan offers an ideal environment to test new solutions at scale—ranging from stablecoins to other Ripple products.

The conference itself highlights the growing role of XRP in finance, as well as trends like asset tokenization and decentralized finance (DeFi). Ripple’s presence underscores its strong commitment to expanding in Asia and continuing close collaboration with the financial sector.
