Ripple Launches Ripple Mint Platform
Ripple Mint lets institutions automate the issuance, redemption and transfer of the RLUSD stablecoin.
Ripple has launched Ripple Mint, a platform that enables institutional clients to issue, redeem, transfer and manage the Ripple USD stablecoin. The tool is accessible through a web-based dashboard and can also be integrated directly with companies’ internal systems.
Using APIs and webhook notifications, exchanges, market makers, fintech companies and other institutions can automate their RLUSD operations. The platform allows users to request redemptions with settlement in fiat currency, transfer tokens between supported blockchains, check balances and track transaction statuses.
Clients also receive real-time updates on deposits, token issuance, blockchain settlements and withdrawals. Consistent identifiers link every stage of a transaction, making it easier to track the movement of funds between the traditional financial system and blockchain networks while reducing the need for manual processing.
RLUSD is issued in the United States by Standard Custody & Trust Company, a trust company regulated by the New York Department of Financial Services. The stablecoin is fully backed by cash and cash equivalents held in segregated reserve accounts.
Ripple Mint was launched following the expansion of RLUSD beyond the XRP Ledger and Ethereum. The token is now also available on Base, Ink, Optimism, Unichain and the XRPL EVM Sidechain.
Through this initiative, Ripple aims to make RLUSD more widely available across exchanges, decentralized finance protocols, payment applications and other blockchain-based financial infrastructure. Ripple Mint is already available to existing institutional clients that use RLUSD.
