American Bitcoin Expands Mining Power

American Bitcoin, a company backed by the Trump family, has announced the purchase of 11,298 ASIC mining machines. According to the firm, the investment will increase its Bitcoin mining capacity by around 12%.

While some publicly traded mining companies are shifting capital toward AI infrastructure, American Bitcoin remains focused on expanding its BTC mining operations. The new machines are scheduled to be delivered and activated in March 2026 at the company’s facility in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada.

Based on current network data, the additional 3.05 EH/s of computing power would account for roughly 0.3% of the global Bitcoin hashrate. Such a share could translate into mining approximately 42 bitcoins per month, or about 515 bitcoins per year. At a Bitcoin price of around $68,000, this would represent roughly $2.9 million in monthly gross revenue and about $35 million annually, before accounting for electricity costs, operational fees, and changes in network difficulty.

Eric Trump, co-founder and chief strategy officer at American Bitcoin, emphasized that as Bitcoin continues to mature, expanding professionally managed mining capacity owned by U.S.-linked entities becomes increasingly important. In his view, it helps strengthen the network, support innovation, and build the United States’ leadership position in the development of Bitcoin.
