XRP, SOL and TRX to Appear on a Russian Exchange

Russia is preparing to expand its range of cryptocurrency-related derivatives. According to the Russian financial portal cbonds.ru, the Moscow Exchange (MOEX) is planning to launch new indices based on Solana, Ripple’s XRP, and TRON. These indices will serve as the foundation for new futures contracts.

Information cited by the portal indicates that the planned indices will track three digital assets: XRP, SOL, and TRX. Their purpose will be to reflect price movements of these cryptocurrencies and provide a benchmark for exchange-traded derivatives.

Earlier reports suggested that the launch of the contracts is scheduled for 2026. The futures are expected to be cash-settled, meaning there will be no physical delivery of cryptocurrencies. This approach aligns with the current structure of the derivatives market in Russia.

The introduction of such products would mark another step toward the formalization of the digital asset market. Listing crypto-linked contracts on a regulated exchange could improve market transparency and allow investors to gain exposure to cryptocurrencies without directly holding them.

It is also another signal that Russia intends to steadily develop its digital asset sector and build its own financial infrastructure based on new technologies. By introducing regulated instruments linked to cryptocurrencies, the country appears to be strengthening its digital finance ecosystem and expanding domestic investment opportunities despite limitations caused by international sanctions.
