Tether and DMCC team up to boost blockchain education and tokenization in Dubai.

Tether Partners with DMCC

Tether has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), one of the world's leading business and trade hubs. The collaboration aims to support blockchain education, asset tokenization, and the broader adoption of digital assets across Dubai.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was announced on June 16, 2026. Under the agreement, both organizations will explore new blockchain applications, develop tokenization-focused initiatives, and promote education related to the digital asset industry.

Headquartered in Dubai, DMCC is home to more than 26,000 companies across a wide range of industries. The organization accounts for approximately 15% of all foreign direct investment flowing into the emirate and has played a key role in strengthening Dubai's position as a global center for trade and innovation.

As part of the partnership, Tether is considering launching workshops, pilot programs, and advisory sessions for businesses operating within the DMCC ecosystem. Planned initiatives also include tokenization projects and solutions designed to improve digital communication and payment processes among market participants.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino highlighted that the United Arab Emirates remains one of the most proactive countries in developing digital asset infrastructure and integrating it into the real economy. According to Ardoino, the collaboration with DMCC could accelerate the practical adoption of blockchain technology, particularly in education and tokenization.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, noted that global trade is increasingly relying on digital financial infrastructure. He pointed out that stablecoins already facilitate transactions worth trillions of dollars, while tokenization is gradually transforming how assets are financed and transferred across borders.

The agreement also includes support for the DMCC Crypto Centre. Tether plans to contribute through educational programs, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and innovation-driven projects. Both parties are also exploring the possibility of hosting joint events and hackathons focused on blockchain technology and digital assets.
