RLUSD Drives Global Payments

Monica Long, President of Ripple, highlighted the expanding real-world use of Ripple’s stablecoin RLUSD. In a post on platform X, she emphasized that more and more institutions worldwide are leveraging blockchain technology to streamline financial flows and enhance transparency in aid systems.

According to Long, Ripple continues to forge new partnerships with global organizations and companies. Among its partners are World Central Kitchen, Water.org, Mercy Corps, and GiveDirectly. These organizations are already using Ripple Payments and RLUSD to conduct instant international transfers—demonstrating the growing relevance of this technology not only in the crypto ecosystem but also in traditional finance.

Long described these initiatives as “true adoption and real impact,” noting that blockchain is evolving beyond speculative use and becoming a practical tool in the global financial system.

Her remarks came just ahead of Ripple Swell, the company’s flagship annual conference that brings together leaders from finance, crypto, and policymaking sectors. Long announced that more details about the future of Ripple’s payment technologies will be revealed during the event.

RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin, was developed to enhance cross-border payments and improve the efficiency of the Ripple Payments network. It allows organizations and businesses to send funds in real time, avoiding the delays and fees typical of traditional banking systems. Long noted that this technology has the potential to revolutionize the delivery of financial aid and become a key part of the future of humanitarian support systems.

Ripple continues to advance the adoption of practically useful digital assets, focusing on solutions that empower financial institutions and integrate seamlessly with the traditional banking sector.
