Ripple to Launch MXNB Stablecoin on the XRPL Network

Ripple is expanding its partnership with Bitso through the launch of the MXNB stablecoin on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), marking a new phase in the companies' long-standing collaboration.

MXNB is a digital currency pegged to the Mexican peso and developed by Bitso, a leading financial services provider with a strong presence across Latin America. The stablecoin will also be integrated into Ripple’s payment infrastructure, further strengthening its role in regional and international transactions.

The two companies plan to use MXNB alongside RLUSD to improve liquidity management and streamline settlement processes for cross-border payments between the United States and Mexico. The initiative is expected to enhance transaction efficiency and reduce friction in one of the region’s most important payment corridors.

Ripple and Bitso have been working together for several years to support payment services across Latin America. Their partnership already includes settlement corridors involving both the Mexican peso and the Colombian peso.

In addition, MXNB will be listed on the Permissioned DEX operating within the XRPL ecosystem. This decentralized exchange is specifically designed for regulated financial services, allowing verified participants to access on-chain liquidity and settlement capabilities while meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
