GLNK Makes Its Market Debut
Grayscale Launches the First U.S. Chainlink-Backed ETF
Grayscale has listed the first U.S. spot ETF based on Chainlink on the NYSE Arca. The new product, named Grayscale Chainlink Trust ETF (GLNK), is the result of converting the company’s private fund—operating since 2021—into an ETF that holds LINK tokens exclusively. According to the company, Chainlink was the natural choice, as Grayscale has relied on its oracle network for years.
The GLNK prospectus highlights that the Chainlink network supplies smart contracts with real-world data and connects on-chain and off-chain information, making it a crucial piece of infrastructure within the blockchain ecosystem. Grayscale emphasizes that the ETF aims to simplify investor access to this segment of the market.
The product’s launch followed a process similar to the recent conversions of DOGE and XRP funds. The company explained that newly approved ETF listing standards from September played a key role, allowing filings to move forward despite the government shutdown at the time. This triggered a 20-day window after which the product automatically became effective by law.
GLNK’s first trading day closed at $11.89, up 5.8%. After-hours trading pushed the price closer to $12. Trading volume reached 1.17 million shares, far above the typical 42,000—showing strong investor interest. Grayscale adds that secondary-market data also confirms significant attention from various segments of the market.
