BlackRock Recruits Globally
BlackRock Expands Its Investments in Cryptocurrencies
BlackRock Inc., the world’s largest asset manager, is expanding its footprint in digital assets and launching a broad global recruitment drive for cryptocurrency-related roles. New job openings have appeared on the company’s official careers page, spanning several regions worldwide.
The hiring push was announced by Robert Mitchnick, BlackRock’s Global Head of Digital Assets. The firm plans to strengthen its team across all levels—from junior positions to senior executive leadership. The roles are located in the United States, Singapore, England, and Ireland.
BlackRock is seeking, among others, digital asset specialists in New York and London, managing directors in New York and Singapore, product strategists, lawyers specializing in digital asset markets across the EMEA region, as well as compliance and financial crime experts in London and Dublin. Some of the positions are also focused on fund tokenization.
The scope of responsibilities includes working with cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and tokenization-based solutions. Associate-level roles require between three and six years of professional experience, while senior leadership positions call for more than twelve years in the field.
One of the key openings—a Managing Director role in New York—offers an annual compensation range of $270,000 to $350,000. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating large-scale digital asset initiatives across the organization.
BlackRock requires employees to work from the office at least four days a week, with the option of one remote day. The firm is currently the largest issuer of Bitcoin- and Ethereum-based ETFs and last year launched its first institutional tokenized fund built on the Ethereum network.
Global hiring at BlackRock—as well as at other major financial institutions—signals a clear shift in attitudes toward cryptocurrencies. The world’s largest firms no longer view this market as a passing trend or a mere technological experiment. Instead, digital assets are increasingly seen as a permanent and growing segment of finance—one that demands dedicated teams, specialized expertise, and long-term strategic planning. The scale and international reach of these recruitment efforts suggest that cryptocurrencies, tokenization, and blockchain-based solutions are steadily being integrated into the mainstream of the global financial system.
