BlackRock Raises Dividend in 2026

BlackRock will pay its first dividend of 2026 on March 24, continuing a 23-year track record of consistent payouts to investors.

This time, shareholders will receive $5.73 per share. That represents a 10 percent increase compared with the previous payment of $5.21 per share made on December 23, 2025.

Investors who owned shares before March 3 are eligible for this dividend. This date is known as the ex-dividend date, meaning that shares purchased on or after that day no longer qualify for the upcoming payment.

In practical terms, an investor holding 100 shares of BLK will receive $573.

BlackRock typically raises its dividend in the first quarter each year and then maintains that level for the remaining quarters. If this pattern continues, total dividend payments in 2026 would amount to $2,292 for an investor holding 100 shares.

Currently, the company’s stock trades at around $1,063 per share. At this price, the projected dividend yield stands at approximately 2.16 percent, which is below the financial sector average of 3.18 percent.

The company pays dividends quarterly and has increased them consistently for 17 consecutive years. With a payout ratio of about 37 percent, BlackRock appears to balance rewarding shareholders with reinvesting profits to support further growth.

Historically, the stock price has returned to its pre-ex-dividend level in an average of 3.1 days. This may be particularly relevant for investors using dividend capture strategies.
