ETH: A Repeat of 2020?

Ethereum Hits a Low as the Market Echoes 2020

ETH: A Repeat of 2020?

Over the past three months, Ethereum’s (ETH) price has fallen from an all-time high of $4,960 to around $3,500. This move feels reminiscent of 2020, when the cryptocurrency dropped from $490 to $308—before launching into a powerful bullish trend.

Analysts are pointing out clear similarities between that period and today’s market behavior. After hitting this year’s low at $3,064, ETH has started to recover and is now holding above the $3,500 level. According to some experts, the market could be setting up for a replay of the same pattern we saw five years ago.

The key support zone for Ethereum currently lies between $3,000 and $3,100. Staying above this range could pave the way for a strong rebound—just like it did back in 2020.

Lark Davis, a well-known analyst and influencer, notes that ETH is still trading above its long-term upward trendline that’s been in place since April. While this support remains intact, short-term downward pressure is still visible. The 20-day EMA now acts as resistance near $3,695, and Ethereum has yet to close a daily candle above that level.

Many traders are watching closely to see whether ETH can stay above this crucial support and repeat the 2020 scenario—when a sharp decline was followed by one of the most impressive rallies in the cryptocurrency’s history.
